The Business Guide to Geotagging

Just 13 months ago the Apple App store had three geo-tagging applications. Today there are around 3,000 (these are sometimes referred to as LBS, or location-based services). It shows how we have become accustomed, very quickly, to involving geography in the way we use the Internet.

In today’s BTalk I ask business futurist Morris Miselowski whether this is all a fad that will provide little benefit for businesses and marketers. He comes back with some pretty good examples of how it can be used effectively to promote to your customers.

So where will all this take us? I ask Morris to earn his futurist reputation and forecast how this technology will all develop over the next few years.
