What annoys you at work? LinkedIn asked 17,653 professionals what they thought.

Pet peeves in this part of the world are: people not taking ownership for their actions, dirty common areas — such as the fridge — and constant complainers.

I asked Samuel Day, workplace expert from HappeningPeople.com, whether we’re all just a bit little too precious. Shouldn’t we just all calm down!

Sam says, yes, but some of our peeves are legitimate when they relate to performance. For example: too many meetings, starting meetings late and sending too many unimportant e-mails.

These are productivity issues that need to be tackled. Other stuff, like being untidy, talking loudly and excessive gossiping, all gets down to good manners.
