Promoting Content Using Social Media E-mail

 

 

You can have the best video or audio content in the world, but if noone knows about it then it's not going to do you any good whatsoever.

This video quickly describes five ways to promote your video using social media. Obviously it doesn't apply to all circumstances. Your company might not want to be on YouTube and prefers to host content internally, for example.

This approach applies if you want to build an external audience for your content. If you are developing multimedia for your workforce some of the same principles can be applied on your corporate intranet and through email.

There are many other opportunities not mentioned, such as developing or reformatting content for specific platforms, such as the iPhone. Hopefully what this video does show is that your approach should be integrated.

The key though, is volume. It's the last point in the video. You need to keep creating fresh material. A video like this takes me about four hours to script, shoot and edit. With that sort of timeframe it's possible to create compelling new content every week, building a regular audience and increasing the exposure and goodwill towards your company.
